Seventy-five kilometers from Thane, scattered on
a mountain range, is a cluster of tribal hamlets.
In the main village of Dolkamb, Abraham and his
wife Hannah oversee various community programs.
Abraham has been trained to provide basic health
care and education. He is able to diagnose and treat
common medical problems, however, if further consultation
is required, patients are referred to Lok Hospital.
Other programs have been started in the village
designed to improve infra-structural services such
as water supply and sanitation, and to provide basic
education for children including vocational training
for youth.
